God Loves You Just as You Are
You were dead in sins, and your sinful desires were not yet cut away. Then He gave you a share in the very life of Christ, for he forgave all your sins, and blotted out the charges proved against you.. Colossians 2:13-14
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrightousness. 1 John 1:8-9
Come, let's talk this over! says the Lord; no matter how deep the stain of your sins, I can take it out and make you as clean as freshly fallen snow. Isaiah 1:18
But now God has shown us a different way to heaven - not by "being good enough" and trying to keep his laws, but by a new way (though not new, really, for the Scriptures told about it long ago). Now God says he will accept and acquit us - declare us "not guilty" - if we trust Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in this same way, by coming to Christ , no matter who we are or what we have been like. Romans 3: 21-22
Yes, all have sinned; all fall short of God's glorious ideal; yet now God declares us "not guilty" - of offending him if we trust in Jesus Christ, who in his kindness freely takes away our sins. Romans 3: 23-24
